Bhuail An Bord Bainistíochta ar an Mháirt, An 7ú Márta, 2017 ar a 7.30 i.n.
Seo an tuairisc aontaithe ón gcruinniú sin.
- Chuir an cúntasóir Tomás Ó Troithigh cúntais na scoile faoi bhráid an Bhoird Bhainistíochta don bhliain dár gcríoch 31ú mí na Nollag, 2016. Glacadh leis na cúntais tar éis comhaontú ó gach ball den Bhord.
- Rinneadh athbhreithniú ar an bPolasaí um Chaomhnú Páistí agus daingníodh é. Tá an polasaí ar fáil ar shuíomh na scoile agus tá cruachóip ar fáil sa scoil.
- Tugadh aitheantas don sár obair atá á dhéanamh sa scoil l’ullmhúcháin Sacraiminteach. Beidh An Chóineartú ar siúl ar an 5ú Aibreán agus beidh An Chéad Chomaoine ar siúl ar an 13ú Bealtaine. Guíodh gach beannacht ar na daltaí, ar a múinteoirí agus ar a dtuistí.
- Pléadh an turas gaeltachta atá á neagrú do dhaltaí i Rang a 6. Rachaidh na daltaí agus múinteoirí chuig Ceann Trá i gContae Chiarraí ar an 23ú Bealtaine agus fillfidh siad thar n-ais ar an 25ú Bealtaine.
- Bronnfar an chéad Brat Glas ar an scoil roimh saoire an tsamhraidh ag searmannas in Óstán An Silversprings. Moladh an sár obair bhainistíocha dramhaíola atá ar siúl sa scoil agus tugadh aitheantas ar leith do Choiste An Bhrait Ghlais.
- Gabhadh comhghairdeas leis na daltaí a ghlac páirt i Scór na bPáistí agus tugadh aitheantas ar leith dos na múinteoirí a d’ullmhaigh iad don chomórtas. Bronnadh buanchorn Criostóir Mac Mathúna orthu mar ghrúpa i gCnocán na Biolraí le déanaí.

The Board of Management met on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 at 7.30 p.m.
The following is the agreed report from the meeting.
- Tom Troy the school accountant presented the school certified accounts for the year ending December 31st, 2016. The accounts were approved by the Board of Management.
- The Child Protection Policy was reviewed and ratified by the Board. A copy of the policy can be located on the school website and a hard copy is available in the school.
- The Board acknowledged the tremendous work that is being done in the school regarding Sacramental preparation. Students in Rang 6 will make their Confirmation on April, 5th and students in Rang 2 will make their First Holy Communion on May, 13th. The Board wished students, teachers and parents every blessing on their journey of Sacramental preparation.
- A discussion took place on the gaeltacht trip for students in Rang 6 which is currently being organised. Students and teachers will embark on a two day trip to Ventry in West Kerry on May, 23rd and they will return on May, 25th.
- The school will be awarded their first Green Flag prior to the summer holidays at a special ceremony in the Silversprings Hotel. The Board praised the great work that is being done in terms of waste management in the school and special words of appreciation were extended to the Green Flag Committee.
- The Board congratulated the children who participated in Scór na bPáistí and thanked the teachers who prepared them for this competition. The Chris O Mahony perpetual cup was recently presented to the group of participating children at the East Cork finals.
The next meeting of the Board of Management will be on May, 2nd, 2017.
