Seo an tuairisc aontaithe ón gcruinniú sin.

➢ Tá an Bord Bainistíochta fíor-shásta leis an obair iontach atá á dhéanamh i nGaelscoil Choráin agus moladh obair na fóirne chun oideachas iomlánaíoch a chur ar fail dos na daltaí. Moladh gach éinne a bhí páirteach sna h-imeachtaí uile an téarma deireanach sa scoil. Cud des na h-imeachtaí sin ná: an gradam feabhais san eolaíocht agus sa mhata, seachtain na gaeilge, seachtain bí gníomhach, scannánóirí óga, comóradh an fhorógra agus blitz peile dos na ranganna naíonáin.

➢ Gabhadh buíochas do phobal na scoile agus do chléir an pharóiste as a ndíogais chun daltaí na scoile a ullmhú do Shacraimint an Chóineartaithe agus do Shacraimint an Chomaoinigh. Gabhadh comhghairdeas leis na daltaí i Rang 2 agus i Rang 6.

➢ Gabhadh buíochas do ghach éinne i bpobal na scoile a bhí ag comhoibriú i dtaobh eagrúcháin scor scoile Iar-Phríomh-Oide na scoile, An t-Uasal Seán Ó Murchú. Moladh Seán as trí mbliana is triocha de dhíograis agus de cheannaireacht i nGaelscoil Choráin.

➢ Athchóiríodh halla na scoile i rith saoire na Cásca. Pléadh scoilteanna socruithe atá ar chúl an fhoirgneamh agus tá Bord Bainistíochta na scoile i dteagmháil le chomhlacht árachais na scoile maidir leis an bhfadhb struchtúrach seo.

➢ Moladh Comhairle na dTuistí as a leibhéal suime i saol na scoile agus as ucht a gcuid tacaíochta.

➢ Ta Bord Bainistíochta na scoile ag dreachtú polasaí Oideachas, Caidrimh agus Gnéasachta (OCG) faoi láthair.

➢ Beidh an chéad cruinniú eile den Bhord Bainistíochta ar an 14ú Meitheamh, 2016.

The Board of Management of Gaelscoil Choráin met on Tuesday, the 26th of April, 2016.

The following is the agreed report from the meeting.

➢ The Board of Management of Gaelscoil Choráin are very pleased with the great work that is being done in Gaelscoil Choráin. The staff were praised for their diligence in providing a holistic education for all students. The children have been involved in the discovery primary science and maths awards, in seachtain na gaeilge, get active week, young film makers workshops, a proclamation commemoration ceremony and a football blitz for infants amongst many other activities.

➢ Both the school community and the parish clergy were commended on their dedication and hard work in preparing children in Rang 2 and in Rang 6 for the sacrament of First Holy Communion and for the sacrament of Confirmation.

➢ The school staff and community were praised for their cooperation and collaborative endavours in organising a wonderful celebration for Mr. Seán Ó Murchú’s retirement. The Board of Management wished Seán the very best on his retirement and acknowledged his thirty three years of service and leadership in Gaelscoil Choráin.

➢ The school hall was renovated during the Easter holidays. Painting work took place and new curtains were hung. Settlement cracks to the rear exterior of the school building were discussed and the Board of Management is in contact with the school insurance company regarding this structural issue.

➢ The Parents Council were praised for the level of interest that they continuously show in the life of the school and for their invaluable support.

➢ The Board of Management is currently drafting a Relationships and Sexuality Education Policy.

➢ The next meeting of the Board of Management will be on June 14th, 2016.
