Gaelscoiloween!
Gaelscoil Choráin recently celebrated the ancient festival of Samhain ‘Halloween’ or Oíche Shamhna as it is known in the school. Classrooms, corridors, the school yard and even the staff room! was a spooktacular sight with lizards, clowns, draculas, skeletons, witches, bats, frogs and gremlins, but to mention a few. A wonderful deviation and spirit raising experience for our entire school family and community during this current time.
Students and staff donned their Halloween costumes in style to celebrate the ancient celtic festival of Samhain. The delight on the children’s faces was palpable as they marvelled at the various dress up characters and themes. ‘Aois na hóige, aois na glóire’!
Príomhoide Caitríona Ní Riada would like to wish all children, staff and their families a happy and safe Oíche Shamhna and would like to thank the entire school community for their cooperation, perseverance and resilience shown since the school reopened in early September. ‘Ní neart go cur le chéile’.
